Nigerian champions Edo Queens have won the WAFU B CAF Women’s Champions League qualifying tournament after overcoming Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa 4-1 on penalties.
The final ended 2-2 after regulation time, forcing both teams into a tense penalty shootout to determine the regional champions.
Edo Queens showed greater composure from the spot, with centre-backs Valentina Uroko and Ifeoma Ikenokwalu among those who successfully converted their penalties.
Ikenokwalu eventually delivered the decisive kick as the Benin City-based side completed the shootout victory and secured the WAFU B crown.
The victory also earns Edo Queens a place in the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League, where they will represent the region among Africa’s leading women’s club sides.
